📔Copyright Takedown Guidance

VI Software respects copyright law and expects users to do the same. This guidance explains how to submit copyright takedown notices and counter-notices under EU and Spanish law (Directive 2000/31/EC and Ley 1/2011). Misuse of this process, including knowingly submitting false or misleading claims, may result in account suspension or other actions.

Required Information:

  • Are you the copyright holder or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner?

  • Is this a revised notice after feedback on a previous submission?

  • Description of your copyright ownership or authorization.

  • Detailed description of the copyrighted work.

  • URLs of the original work (if available) and allegedly infringing content.

  • Technological measures to control access (if any).

  • Search for forks or copies of the content.

  • Open-source licensing status.

  • Fair use considerations.

  • Suggested resolution for the alleged infringement.

  • Contact information of the alleged infringer (if known).

  • Your contact info (email, phone, postal address).

  • Good faith statement and digital signature.

Review Process:

  • VI Software reviews notices promptly.

  • Infringing content may be removed or disabled.

  • Information may be forwarded to affected users, companies, or law enforcement.

2. Submitting a Counter-Notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was removed in error, you may submit a Counter-Notice:

Required Information:

  • Identification of the removed content (URL or location).

  • Statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake or misidentification.

  • Full contact information and consent to the jurisdiction of Spanish courts.

  • Any proof of action or evidence showing your content is not infringing.

  • Digital signature.

Timeline and Automatic Restoration:

  • VI Software reviews counter-notices within 10 business days.

  • If the original claimant does not notify VI Software of legal action within 10 business days of receiving the counter-notice, the content may be restored automatically.

  • If the original claimant initiates legal action, VI Software may keep the content removed until the dispute is resolved.

3. Repeat Infringers

Accounts that repeatedly post infringing content may be suspended or terminated, in accordance with the Terms of Service and Platform License Agreement.
